Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c buttermilk biscuit mix
  • 1 1/4 c hot water
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 4 c vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 Fill a deep frying pan 1 1/2 inches deep with vegetable oil.
  • Step #2 Heat to medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 In a medium bowl, mix the water & baking mix.
  • Step #4 Using a wooden spoon, beat for about 3 to 4 mins, until the mixture becomes spongy & uniform.
  • Step #5 Using a pastry bag, pipe 5-inch long strips of batter into the hot oil.
  • Step #6 For best results, fry only a couple at a time.
  • Step #7 Cook until golen brown, then drain on paper towels.
  • Step #8 In a small bowl or saucer, stir this together the sugar & cinnamon.
  • Step #9 Dip fried churros in the sugar to coat.
  • Step #10 Serve hot.
