Pineapple Kugel Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 8 oz pineapple slices, drained .
  • 1/2 c white sugar .
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles .
  • 6 eggs .
  • 8 oz crushed pineapple, undrained .
  • 5 tbsps unsalted butter, melted .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Lightly grease or spray a 13" x 9" baking pan.
  • Step #3 Cook noodles in boiling salted water according to package directions for "Al Dente"; do not cook through.
  • Step #4 Drain.
  • Step #5 In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the melted butter.
  • Step #6 Mix in sugar, vanilla, crushed pineapple with juice, salt & cinnamon.
  • Step #7 Stir in the cooked, drained noodles.
  • Step #8 Spread into the prepared 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  • Step #9 Neatly arrange the drained pineapple rings on the top.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350 for 50 mins, or until golden.
  • Step #11 Serve hot.
