Crispy Whitefish Marinated Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 c stir-fry sauce
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 8 (6 oz) fillets whitefish
  • 1 quart oil for frying
  • 2 tbsps seasoning salt
  • 2 c dry potato flakes
  • 2 tbsps ancho chile seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl, mix the teriyaki sauce & stir-fry sauce.
  • Step #2 Place the whitefish fillets in the mixture, & marinate for about 15 mins.
  • Step #3 Heat the oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).
  • Step #4 In a shallow bowl, ancho chile seasoning, seasoning salt, salt, mix the dry potato flakes, garlic powder, flour, & pepper.
  • Step #5 Place each marinated fish fillet into the mixture to evenly coat.
  • Step #6 Fry the fish in the heated oil, 1 or 2 fillets at a time, until golden brown & easily flaked with a fork, about 5 mins.
