Ingredients
  • 3 oz active dry yeast .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 1 1/2 c lukewarm water .
  • 1 tbsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps caraway seeds .
  • 2 1/4 c rye flour .
  • 3 1/2 c white flour .
  • 1 1/2 c molasses

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir ingredients together in bowl.
  • Step #2 Let rise at least one hr.
  • Step #3 Let raise a second time.
  • Step #4 Shape into 2 loaves & let rise in pan.
  • Step #5 Bake at 400F degrees F until tops start to brown.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350 degrees F to finish.
