Grasshopper Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c almonds, slivered or sliced .
  • 1 c fudge sauce, at about room temp .
  • 1 pint premium mint chocolate chip ice cream .
  • 1 (8 inch) chocolate crumb crusts

Directions
  • Step #1 Make chocolate cookie crumb crust or purchase pre-made crust.
  • Step #2 Soften the ice cream to 'soft-serve' consistency.
  • Step #3 I use a microwave at apx 30% power for a min.
  • Step #4 Then put into a bowl & stir until soft enough.
  • Step #5 Spread softened ice cream into pie crust.
  • Step #6 Place in freezer until solidified again, (apx 1 hr).
  • Step #7 Remove from freezer & spread fudge sauce on top of pie.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top slivered or sliced almonds over the top.
  • Step #9 Put back into freezer until ready to serve.
  • Step #10 Serving tip: Remove from freezer about 15 mins before serving.
  • Step #11 Use sharp knife that has been dipped in warm water to cut slices.
