Danish Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 (8 oz) cans put in the fridged crescent dinner rolls .
  • Rolls .
  • 2-3 tsps milk .
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar .
  • 4 tsps lingonberry jam or your favorite jam .
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice .
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • Glaze .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/2 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350°F In small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar & lemon juice; beat until smooth.
  • Step #2 Separate dough into 8 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
  • Step #3 Spread each rectangle with about 2 tbsps cream cheese mixture.
  • Step #4 Roll up each, starting at longest side; firmly pinch edges & ends to seal.
  • Step #5 Gently stretch each roll to about 10 inches.
  • Step #6 On ungreased large cookie sheet, coil each roll this into a spiral with seam on the inside, tucking end under.
  • Step #7 Make deep indentation in center of each roll; fill with 1/2 tsp preserves.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 mins or until deep golden brown.
  • Step #9 In small bowl, mix all glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency.
  • Step #10 Drizzle over warm rolls.
