Chicken Corn Chowder Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c fineley sliced onions .
  • 1 (8 oz) can cream of chicken soup .
  • 6 tbsps flour .
  • 1 (16 oz) can whole kernel corn .
  • 6 tbsps butter .
  • 2 c sliced cooked chicken .
  • 1 (16 oz) can cream-style corn .
  • 2 c chicken broth .
  • 1 c sliced potatoes .
  • 1 tbsp finely sliced parsley (optional) .
  • 1 pint heavy cream .
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper .
  • 2 tbsps shredded carrots .
  • 3/4 c milk .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large sauce pan, potato, cook onion, in butter for 3-5 mins over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Stir in flour, cook for 5-6 mins or untill mixture is golden.
  • Step #3 turn up the heat a little, add broth & wisk untill smooth.
  • Step #4 Reduce heat, add in the remaining ingredients.
  • Step #5 simmer.
  • Step #6 15-30 mins.
  • Step #7 Stiring often.
  • Step #8 Remove from heat, let this stand for several mins to thicken.
  • Step #9 Serve with toasted garlic bread.
