Spicy Nuts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2-2 lbs unsalted nuts (I used shelled not-roasted pistachios & peanuts) .
  • 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes (or more for spicier nuts) .
  • 1-1 1/2 tbsp kosher salt (or other coarse salt) .
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large skillet melt butter with olive oil over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Add nuts to melted butter & cook stirring frequently for 10 mins.
  • Step #3 Add red peppper flakes & salt to nuts & continue cooking, stirring frequently for five mins longer, being careful that nuts don't burn.
  • Step #4 Drain nuts on paper towels & let cool before serving or storing in an airtight container.
