Classic Chulent Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c barley
  • 1 tbsp onion soup mix
  • 1/2 lb cubed beef brisket
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1/4 c dry kidney beans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 potatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsps honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp barbeque sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine the beef brisket, onion soup mix, soy sauce, garlic, barley, honey, salt, potatoes, pepper, barbeque sauce, ketchup, onion, kidney beans, & paprika in a 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Step #2 Cook on High for 1 hr.
  • Step #3 Then, turn to Low & continue cooking for another 7 hrs.
  • Step #4 .
