Cold Crawfish Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c mayonnaise
  • 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™), or to taste
  • 2 lbs crawfish tails, with fat

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt butter in a large skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Add half of the green onions, & cook this until wilted.
  • Step #3 Add the crawfish tails, reduce heat to medium-low, & let simmer for about 10 mins.
  • Step #4 Set aside to cool.
  • Step #5 In a large bowl, stir this together the cream cheese & mayonnaise until well mixed.
  • Step #6 I like to use an electric mixer.
  • Step #7 Spice up with hot pepper sauce & Worcestershire sauce until the mixture is pink in color.
  • Step #8 When the crawfish have cooled slightly, stir them & the butter into the dip along with the rest of the green onion.
  • Step #9 Mix well, cover & put in the fridge overnight to properly mix the flavors.
