Cube Steak Stew Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cube beef bouillon, dissolved in 1 c water
  • 1 (8 oz) can peas & carrots
  • 3 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 lbs beef cube steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp browning sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) can sliced potatoes, drained

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut cube steaks into pieces about 1/2 inch in size.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top flour over a plate, & dredge meat in flour.
  • Step #3 In a large skillet, heat oil & butter over medium high heat.
  • Step #4 Add steak pieces, onion, & garlic to oil in pan; saute till lightly browned.
  • Step #5 Add more butter if needed.
  • Step #6 Stir in beef bouillon, potatoes, peas & carrots, Italian seasoning, browning sauce, salt, & black pepper.
  • Step #7 Cover, turn heat down to simmer, & cook for 25 mins.
  • Step #8 It will thicken as it cooks.
  • Step #9 Add more water if it gets too thick.
