Buffalo Chips Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 c flour .
  • 2 tsps baking soda .
  • 2 c packed brown sugar .
  • 1 c solid shortening .
  • 2 tsps baking powder .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 2 c Rice Krispies .
  • 1 c coconut .
  • 6 oz chocolate chips .
  • 1 c sliced pecans .
  • 2 c sugar .
  • 4 eggs .
  • 1 c margarine .
  • 2 c quick oats (uncooked)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 In a large mixing bowl, cream butter & shortening.
  • Step #3 Add sugars, vanilla, & eggs.
  • Step #4 Mix well.
  • Step #5 Stir in oats, baking powder, flour, & baking soda.
  • Step #6 When well-mixed, pecans, stir in the coconut, Rice Krispies, & chocolate chips.
  • Step #7 When batter is thoroughly mixed, measure 1/4 C for each cookie on a large ungreased baking sheet.
  • Step #8 Bake 10 to 12 mins, or until edges are golden.
  • Step #9 For a crisper cookie, bake 12 to 15 mins.
  • Step #10 Allow cookies to cool slightly on baking sheet before removing.
