Ingredients
1 tsp seasoned salt
2 lbs butter or margarine
5 (1 lb) loaves day-old white bread, cubed
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp salt
3 3/4 c chicken broth, divided
1 1/2 tsps pepper
1/2 c finely sliced onion
2 1/2 c sliced celery
1 tsp poultry seasoning
5 lbs pork sausage or sliced giblets, cooked & drained
2 tsps rubbed sage
Directions
Step #1 Toss the bread cubes & sausage; set aside.
Step #2 In a saucepan over med-heat/flame, saute celery & onion in butter until tender.
Step #3 Remove from the heat.
Step #4 Stir in 3-3/4 c broth & seasonings; mix well.
Step #5 Pour over bread mixture; mix well.
Step #6 Add desired amount of remaining broth.
Step #7 Place mixture in four greased 3-qt.
Step #8 baking dishes.
Step #9 Cover & bake this at 325F degrees F for 1-1/4 hrs.
Step #10 Uncover & bake 15 mins longer or until heated through.
