Cinnamon Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1/4 c vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsps margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps white sugar
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease one 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Step #3 Measure flour, 1 c sugar, 1 1/2 tsps cinnamon, salt, buttermilk, baking powder, oil, baking soda, eggs & vanilla into large mixing bowl.
  • Step #4 Beat 3 mins.
  • Step #5 Pour into prepared loaf pan.
  • Step #6 Smooth top.
  • Step #7 Combine 2 tbsps white sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon & butter, mixing until crumbly.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top topping over smoothed batter.
  • Step #9 Using knife, cut in a light swirling motion to give a marbled effect.
  • Step #10 Bake for about 50 mins.
  • Step #11 Test with toothpick.
  • Step #12 When inserted it should come out clean.
  • Step #13 Remove bread from pan to rack to cool.
