Fall Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (11 oz) bag mixed salad greens .
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic .
  • 4 oz crumbled blue cheese .
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard .
  • 2 tbsps water .
  • 3 tbsps red wine vinegar .
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper .
  • 1/4 c fresh cranberries .
  • 1/3 c olive oil .
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced .
  • 1 c sliced almonds .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375º.
  • Step #2 Arrange almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet & toast in oven for 5 mins or until the almonds begin to brown.
  • Step #3 Watch carefully.
  • Step #4 In a mixer or food processor/blender, mix vinegar, pepper, oil, salt, mustard, cranberries, garlic, & water.
  • Step #5 Process until smooth.
  • Step #6 In a salad bowl, blue cheese, toss the almonds, onion, & greens.
  • Step #7 Pour salad dressing over nad toss until well mixd.
