Quick Spaghetti Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6-8 oz broken spaghetti, cooked & seasoned .
  • 1 1/4 c condensed consomme (or 1/4 c water & 2 bouillon cube) .
  • 3 tbsps grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1/2 lb sliced beef or sliced liver .
  • 3/4 tsp worcestershire sauce .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2/3 c tomato paste or tomato sauce .
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 3/4 c thinly sliced onions .
  • 1 tsp vinegar .
  • 1/2 c green peppers, cut in thin strips

Directions
  • Step #1 To cook spaghetti, drop it into a large amount of boiling salted water.
  • Step #2 Lift or stir with fork frequently to keep spaghetti from sticking to pan.
  • Step #3 Boil until just tender.
  • Step #4 Drain well.
  • Step #5 Spice up with salt & pepper.
  • Step #6 Separate meat into small pieces with fork & season lightly.
  • Step #7 Place in hot skillet & heat until red color just disappears, tossing with fork.
  • Step #8 Remove meat,leaving drippings in skillet.
  • Step #9 Add onions & green pepper to drippings, cover & cook carefully 5 mins.
  • Step #10 (Add more fat if necessary).
  • Step #11 Then add meat, tomato paste, & remaining ingredients.
  • Step #12 Simmer carefully 10 mintues.
  • Step #13 Add spaghetti & reheat.
  • Step #14 Serve with extra parmesan cheese, if desired.
  • Step #15 Makes 6 to 8 servings, depending upon amount of spaghetti used.
  • Step #16 Grated american cheese may be used instead of parmesan.
