Cherry Dump Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 c cherry juice
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 4 c pitted sour cherries

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease a 10x10-inch baking dish.
  • Step #3 In large bowl, salt, mix flour, baking powder & 1 c sugar; stir.
  • Step #4 Add butter, milk & vanilla; beat with electric mixer for 2 mins, or until smooth.
  • Step #5 Pour mixture into pan & cover evenly with cherries.
  • Step #6 Heat cherry juice in microwave or in small saucepan, until just simmering.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top 1/2 c of sugar over cherries, & pour hot cherry juice on top.
  • Step #8 Bake 40 to 45 mins, or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
