Christmas Pecans Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c pecan halves
  • 1 tbsp grated orange rind
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
  • 5 tbsps sugar, divided

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together 4 tbsps sugar, pumpkin pie spice, melted butter, & orange rind.
  • Step #2 Add pecan halves; toss to coat.
  • Step #3 Place on a lightly greased aluminum foil wrap-lined baking sheet.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top evenly with remaining 1 tbsp sugar.
  • Step #5 Bake at 350° for 20 mins, stirring once.
  • Step #6 Toasted Pecans: Toss 3 c pecan halves with 1 1/2 tbsps melted butter.
  • Step #7 Place in an aluminum foil wrap-lined jellyroll pan.
  • Step #8 Bake at 325° for 10 mins.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top 1 tbsp coarse salt evenly over pecans, & bake 10 more mins, stirring once.
