Step #1 Remove crusts from bread with a serrated knife.
Step #2 Roll & flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin.
Step #3 Cut 3 circles out of each bread slice with a 1 3/4-inch fluted or round cookie cutter.
Step #4 Brush mini muffin pans with melted butter.
Step #5 Press bread circles on bottom & up sides of muffin c; brush bread c with melted butter.
Step #6 Bake at 350° for 7 mins or until lightly toasted.
Step #7 Remove bread c from muffin pans, & place on ungreased baking sheets.
Step #8 Fill c evenly with cheese pieces; top each with 1/4 tsp jam.
Step #9 Bake at 300° for 10 mins or until cheese is melted.
Step #10 Note: To make ahead, freeze toasted bread shells up to 1 month in advance.
Step #11 Thaw at about room temp about 30 mins.
Step #12 Assemble tartlets, & bake as directed.
