Cinnamon Walnuts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c evaporated milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 c walnut halves
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a heavy saucepan, milk, mix the sugar, cinnamon & salt.
  • Step #2 Cook over med-heat/flame, without stirring, until a candy thermometer reads 238 degrees F (soft-ball stage).
  • Step #3 Remove from the heat; stir in the vanilla & walnuts.
  • Step #4 Spread onto waxed paper to harden.
  • Step #5 Break into pieces.
  • Step #6 Store in an airtight container at about room temp.
