Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c butter (no substitutes), softened
  • 1/4 c confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking cocoa
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, cream the butter.
  • Step #2 Add vanilla & mix well.
  • Step #3 Combine flour, sugar & cocoa; add to creamed mixture.
  • Step #4 Beat until dough holds together, about 3 mins.
  • Step #5 Pat into a 9-in.
  • Step #6 x 4-in.
  • Step #7 rectangle.
  • Step #8 Cut into 2-in.
  • Step #9 x 1-1/2-in.
  • Step #10 strips.
  • Step #11 Place 1 in.
  • Step #12 apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Step #13 Prick with a fork.
  • Step #14 Bake at 300F degrees F for 20-25 mins or until set.
  • Step #15 Cool for 5 mins; remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
