Ingredients
2 c all-purpose flour
3/4 c apple - peeled, cored & sliced
3 tsps ground cinnamon
1 3/4 c packed brown sugar
1 c milk
1 1/2 c water
2 tbsps butter
1 c white sugar
1/2 c sliced walnuts
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsps baking powder
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step #2 Grease the bottom of a 9 inch square baking dish.
Step #3 In a large bowl, sugar, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt & cinnamon.
Step #4 Make a well in the center & pour in the milk.
Step #5 Mix well & pour this into prepared pan.
Step #6 In a saucepan, mix brown sugar, water & butter.
Step #7 Bring to a boil & pour over batter in the pan.
Step #8 Sprinkle top top this with nuts & sliced apples.
Step #9 Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 mins, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step #10 Serve warm.
