Cornbread Waffles Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c frozen white shoepeg corn, thawed
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c cornmeal

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together first 5 ingredients In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #2 Stir together egg & next 3 ingredients; add to cornmeal mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Step #3 Bake in a preheated, oiled waffle iron just until crisp.
