Ingredients
  • 7 1/2 c water
  • 1 1/2 c regular grits
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  •  Butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Bring water to a boil In a large-ish saucepan; slowly stir in the grits & salt.
  • Step #2 Return to a boil; cover, stirring every once in awhile, & let simmer, reduce heat, 15 to 20 mins or until thickened.
  • Step #3 Serve as soon as possible, topped with butter.
