Crispy Corn Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c sliced onion
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps butter, melted
  • 1 (11 oz) can cream style corn
  • 1 (10 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • 2 slices bread, cubed
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 c crisp rice cereal

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, mix the bread cubes & onion.
  • Step #3 Pour in the whole kernel corn, cream style corn & milk.
  • Step #4 Spice up with sugar, salt & pepper & stir this to mix everything evenly.
  • Step #5 Transfer to a greased 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Step #6 In a separate bowl, toss together the rice cereal & melted butter.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top over the top of the casserole.
  • Step #8 Bake uncovered for 45 mins in the preheated oven, or until the top is toasted & the corn is heated through.
