Herb Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c whole milk
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 2 c all-purpose flour, plus more for the work surface
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsps fresh thyme leaves, roughly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 375° F.
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, salt, baking powder, mix the flour, & sugar.
  • Step #3 Using a pastry mixer, a fork, or your fingertips, add the butter & mix until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Step #4 Add the thyme & toss.
  • Step #5 In a measuring c, whisk together the milk & mayonnaise.
  • Step #6 Add to the flour mixture & stir just until mixd.
  • Step #7 Turn the dough onto a lightly floured work surface & pat into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.
  • Step #8 Cut the biscuits into squares.
  • Step #9 Transfer to a baking sheet & bake this until lightly browned, about 25 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve hot.
