Dee's Cherry Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp brandy flavoring, divided .
  • 1/4 c oil .
  • 1 c brown sugar .
  • 3 eggs .
  • 20 oz drained pineapple slices .
  • 18 oz yellow cake mix .
  • 1 tsp almond flavoring, divided .
  • 1 tsp rum flavoring, divided .
  • 1 c cherry pie filling

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix 1/2 tsp of the almond, rum & brandy flavorings into the cherry pie filling.
  • Step #2 Spread cherry mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 cake pan.
  • Step #3 Put the pineapple slices on top of cherry pie filling.
  • Step #4 Put brown sugar on top of pineapple.
  • Step #5 Mix the cake mix, oil, eggs & balance of the flavorings together.
  • Step #6 Pour over top of the brown sugar.
  • Step #7 Bake in a 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for the time recommended on cake box or until browned & toothpick comes out clean.
