- grated mozzarella cheese .
- 3/4 c extra-virgin olive oil .
- 1 loaf bread .
- grated parmesan cheese .
- 1 sprig rosemary, stripped & sliced (small) .
- 10-15 garlic cloves, peeled & sliced .
- 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes .
- salt .
- 2 medium sage leaves, roughly sliced
Directions
- Step #1 Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
- Step #2 In a mixer, rosemary, sage, mix the garlic, basil, chili flakes & a pinch of salt.
- Step #3 Puree.
- Step #4 With the mixer running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil.
- Step #5 Slice the bread into 1/2 inch thick slices & place on a cookie sheet.
- Step #6 Brush with the garlic pesto.
- Step #7 Sprinkle top with Parmesan & mozzarella, if desired.
- Step #8 Bake on the upper rack until golden brown & bubbly, about 5 to 7 mins.
