Corny Corn Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c milk
  • 4 tsps baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 (15 oz) cans whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 small onion, finely sliced
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 c vegetable oil
  • 2 c cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsps salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda.
  • Step #2 Stir in the eggs, milk, oil & onion just until mixed.
  • Step #3 Fold in the corn.
  • Step #4 Pour into a greased 13-in.
  • Step #5 x 9-in.
  • Step #6 x 2-in.
  • Step #7 baking dish.
  • Step #8 Bake at 400F degrees F for 25-30 mins or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Step #9 Serve warm.
