Cinnamon Apple Chops Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 (3/4 inch thick) boneless pork chops
  • 2 tbsps cinnamon red hot candies
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c applesauce
  • Vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Brush chops lightly with oil & brown chops on both sides, turning once, about 3-4 mins.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top chops with pepper, add broth & lemon juice.
  • Step #4 Reduce heat to low, cover & let simmer carefully for 5 mins.
  • Step #5 To serve, top this with applesauce & cinnamon candies.
  • Step #6 Chunky applesauce with cinnamon red hot candies: In small saucepan, stir this together 1 1/2 c applesauce & 2 tbsp candies.
  • Step #7 Heat over med-heat/flame, stirring often, until candies are melted; stir well to thoroughly mix.
