Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees spray 2 qt Bundt pan with non stick spray.
Step #2 Using mixer at lowish speed, pudding mix, rum, mix the cake mix, oil & water.
Step #3 Add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each.
Step #4 Sprinkle top pecans in the bottom of bundt pan & pour the batter on top of pecans.
Step #5 Bake for 50 to 55 mins, butter, until knife inserted an inch from the center comes out clean do not remove cake from the pan!
Make rum syrup: In a small saucepan bring sugar, rum & water to a boil & cook for 3 mins.
Step #6 With a fork or wooden skewer, make holes in the top of cake.
Step #7 Pour the syrup over the cake & let it sit for 30 mins while the syrup is absorbed.
Step #8 Invert cake pan onto a serving plate.
Step #9 Allow it to sit for several mins & the cake will loosen from the pan.
