Cherry Chip Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Butter & flour a bundt pan or 10-inch tube pan.
  • Step #3 In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, eggs, oil, & salt.
  • Step #4 Mix well.
  • Step #5 Stir in the cherries & their liquid & the chocolate chips.
  • Step #6 Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Step #7 Bake for about 1 hr, until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Step #8 Cool on rack & remove this from the pan to cool completely.
