• 1/2 c vegetable oil
• 1/2 c sliced walnuts
• 1/2 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
• 1/2 c packed brown sugar
• 1 c semisweet chocolate chips

• Step #1 In a mixing bowl, sugars, mix the oil, egg & vanilla; mix well.
• Step #2 Combine flour, baking soda & salt; slowly add to sugar mixture.
• Step #3 Divide dough in half.
• Step #4 On a greased baking sheet, shape each portion into a 15-in.
• Step #5 x 3-in.
• Step #6 rectangle about 3 in.
• Step #7 apart.
• Step #8 Sprinkle top chocolate chips & nuts if desired over dough; press lightly.
• Step #9 Bake at 375 degrees F for 6-7 mins.
• Step #10 (Bake for 8-9 mins for crispier cookies.
• Step #11 ) Cool for 5 mins.
• Step #12 Cut with a serrated knife into 1-in.
• Step #13 strips; remove to wire racks to cool.
