Mango Mousse Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 mangoes, peeled seeded & sliced .
  • 2 tsps lemon juice .
  • 2 tbsps sugar .
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped dessert topping, thawed .
  • 1 (1 oz) envelope unflavored gelatin

Directions
  • Step #1 Place mangoes in a mixer container.
  • Step #2 Cover up & process until smooth.
  • Step #3 Add enough water to make 2 c total.
  • Step #4 Transfer to a medium saucepan.
  • Step #5 Bring to boiling.
  • Step #6 Meanwhile, In a large-ish bowl stir this together sugar & gelatin.
  • Step #7 Pour mango mixture over gelatin mixture; stir until gelatin dissolves.
  • Step #8 Stir in lemon juice.
  • Step #9 Cover up & freeze for 45 to 60 mins or until mixture mounds, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #10 Beat mango mixture with an electric mixer for 2-3 mins or until thick & light.
  • Step #11 Fold in whipped topping.
  • Step #12 Spoon into dessert dishes.
  • Step #13 Cover up & chill for 2 hrs, or until set.
