Asian Spring Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 tsps minced garlic .
  • 1 egg .
  • 2 tsps water .
  • 2 tbsps soy sauce .
  • oil (for frying) .
  • 1 c fresh bean sprouts .
  • 2 tbsps oyster sauce .
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper .
  • 3 tbsps cilantro, sliced .
  • 1 lb egg roll wraps .
  • 4 oz vermicelli (cooked) .
  • 2 tbsps sesame oil .
  • 1/2 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, sliced .
  • 1/2 c coleslaw mix .
  • 1 lb ground turkey .
  • 3 tsps minced gingerroot

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown the ground turkey in the sesame oil.
  • Step #2 Add the ginger, garlic, bean sprouts & coleslaw mix & cook over med heat until the sprouts become limp (5 mins).
  • Step #3 Add the remaining ingredients (except the last four) & remove this from the heat & let cool.
  • Step #4 On a damp tea towel, place an egg roll wrap & fill with 2 tbsps of the turkey mix.
  • Step #5 Roll up as instructed on the back of the egg roll wrap package, using the egg mixed with the water to seal the edges.
  • Step #6 Heat an inch of oil in a skillet on med-high heat.
  • Step #7 Fry the rolls, turning frequently until golden, about 5-7 mins.
  • Step #8 Can be frozen after allowing to cool.
