Oatmeal Macaroons Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c light corn syrup .
  • 1/2 c Splenda granular .
  • 2 tsps baking powder .
  • 1 tbsp Smart Balance light butter spread, melted .
  • 2 c rolled oats .
  • 1 egg, separated .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Beat egg yolk & white separately.
  • Step #2 Cream sugar with melted shortening.
  • Step #3 Add egg yolk, syrup, salt & oats.
  • Step #4 Then add baking powder, egg white, & vanilla.
  • Step #5 MIx thoroughly, drop on greased pan (about half tsp each).
  • Step #6 Allow space for spreading.
  • Step #7 Bake 8 to 10 mins in 350 degree oven (moderate oven).
  • Step #8 Cool for 2 mins before removing from pan.
