Raspberry Rose Cakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 eggs .
  • 1 1/2 c sugar .
  • 1/3 c raspberry jam, divided .
  • 1 1/4 c milk .
  • 1 c butter .
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 3 c flour .
  • powdered sugar (optional)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F.
  • Step #2 Grease & flour pan well.
  • Step #3 In large mixing bowl, mix sugar & butter & mix well.
  • Step #4 Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one.
  • Step #5 Add remaining ingredients except jam & mix well, scraping bowl every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 Fill individual c 2/3 full.
  • Step #7 Spoon half the jam (this recipe makes 2 batches) on top of the batter, dividing evenly between the c.
  • Step #8 Gently swirl jam into the top of the batter, using the tip of a knife.
  • Step #9 Bake for 20-25 mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean; cool 10 mins in pan; turn out & continue to cool.
  • Step #10 Bake second batch.
  • Step #11 Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
