Deep Dish Cherry Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c water
  • 1 (16 oz) can pitted sour red pie cherries

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a medium bowl mix together cherries, water, & sugar.
  • Step #3 Pour mixture into pastry-lined deep dish pie pan.
  • Step #4 Dot with butter or margarine.
  • Step #5 Cover with top pastry.
  • Step #6 Seal edges & cut steam vents in top.
  • Step #7 Bake in preheated oven for 40 mins, until crust is golden brown.
