Pull-apart Cheese Buns Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c milk, warm .
  • 3 tbsps olive oil .
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (one packet) .
  • 1 c warm water .
  • 6 c flour .
  • 1 1/2 c sharp cheddar cheese, shredded .
  • 1/3 c butter, melted .
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar .
  • 1 c parmesan cheese, grated

Directions
  • Step #1 PREHEAT oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
  • Step #2 Grease a 10” tube pan.
  • Step #3 Combine 3 c flour, yeast, sugar & salt in large mixer bowl.
  • Step #4 Mix well; toss in cheddar cheese.
  • Step #5 Add warm milk, water & oil.
  • Step #6 Beat on medium speed 3 mins.
  • Step #7 Gradually stir in the remaining flour using enough flour to make a soft dough.
  • Step #8 Turn out onto lightly floured board.
  • Step #9 Knead dough adding more flour as necessary, until dough is smooth, elastic & no longer sticky (about 5 mins).
  • Step #10 Place in greased bowl; turn dough over to grease top.
  • Step #11 Cover up with plastic wrap.
  • Step #12 Let rise in warm place for 30 mins.
  • Step #13 Punch down, cover & let rest 10 mins.
  • Step #14 Cut dough into 40 pieces.
  • Step #15 Shape each into a ball.
  • Step #16 Dip balls in melted butter then roll in Parmesan cheese to coat.
  • Step #17 Arrange balls in two layers in well greased 10” tube pan.
  • Step #18 Cover up with tea towel.
  • Step #19 Let rise in warm place until balls are almost to top of pan (1-1¼ hrs).
  • Step #20 Bake on lower rack of preheated 375°F oven for 35-45 mins or until firm & golden.
  • Step #21 Cool 5 mins then remove this from pan.
  • Step #22 Enjoy warm or at about room temp.
