Milo Slice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c milo .
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla .
  • 1 1/2 c icing sugar .
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened .
  • 2 tbsps cocoa .
  • 2 tbsps boiling water .
  • 3/4 c sweetened condensed milk .
  • 1 c raisins .
  • 1 c desiccated coconut .
  • 150 g butter .
  • 1 (250 g) packet plain sweet biscuits, crushed (I use round wine)

Directions
  • Step #1 Grease the base & sides of a 27cm x 18cm baking tin.
  • Step #2 Place condensed milk & the 150g butter in a medium saucepan.
  • Step #3 Heat, stirring constantly, until the butter has melted.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat & stir in the the Milo.
  • Step #5 Combine the biscuit crumbs, coconut & raisins in a bowl.
  • Step #6 Pour the Milo mixture into the biscuit mixture & mix thoroughly.
  • Step #7 Press firmly into the prepared tin & put in the fridge for 20 mins.
  • Step #8 *Icing.
  • Step #9 Place the icing sugar, cocoa & 1 Tbsp butter in a small bowl.
  • Step #10 Add the vanilla & boiling water.
  • Step #11 Mix to a spreadable consistency, adding a little extra water if required.
  • Step #12 Ice the slice with the icing, allow to firm, then cut into bars.
