Eggnog Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c eggnog (dairy fresh, not canned) .
  • ground nutmeg (to garnish) .
  • 1 1/4 c milk .
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 1 (6 oz) package jello vanilla pudding mix, 6-serving size (not instant) .
  • 1 (9 inch) baked deep dish pie shells .
  • 2 c whipping cream, whipped (1 pint) .
  • 3 tbsps light rum or Kahlua

Directions
  • Step #1 In medium saucepan, over med-heat/flame, cook pudding mix using milk & BORDEN® EggNog.
  • Step #2 according to directions on package until thick & bubbly; mix well.
  • Step #3 Remove from heat.
  • Step #4 Stir in nutmeg.
  • Step #5 Stir in rum (optional).
  • Step #6 Cool or chill thoroughly.
  • Step #7 Beat cream until smooth.
  • Step #8 Fold in whipped cream.
  • Step #9 Spoon into prepared crust.
  • Step #10 Garnish with extra nutmeg.
  • Step #11 Chill 4 hrs or until set.
  • Step #12 Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
  • Step #13 Notes: Microwave: In 2-quart glass measure with handle, mix pudding mix,.
  • Step #14 nutmeg & BORDEN® EggNog; mix well.
  • Step #15 Cook on HIGH (100% power) 6 to 8 mins.
  • Step #16 or until thickened & bubbly, stirring every 1-1/2 mins.
  • Step #17 Proceed as above.
