Ingredients
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil
  • 2 c cold water
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsps distilled white vinegar
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 3 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsps baking soda

Directions
  • Step #1 Sift flour, salt, soda, sugar, & cocoa together into a 9 x 13 inch ungreased cake pan.
  • Step #2 Make three wells.
  • Step #3 Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, & vanilla into third well.
  • Step #4 Pour cold water over all, & stir well with fork.
  • Step #5 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 mins, or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
  • Step #6 Frost with your favorite icing.
  • Step #7 .
