Chive Cheese Corn Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c cornmeal
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 c shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsps baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c butter, melted
  • 3 tbsps minced chives

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, flour, mix cornmeal, sugar & baking powder.
  • Step #2 In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk & butter.
  • Step #3 Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  • Step #4 Gently fold in cheese & chives.
  • Step #5 Pour into a greased 13-in.
  • Step #6 x 9-in.
  • Step #7 x 2-in.
  • Step #8 baking pan.
  • Step #9 Bake at 400F degrees F for 18 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #10 Cut into strips; serve warm.
