Red Cooked Eggs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c water .
  • 3 tbsps sugar .
  • 1 tsp sesame oil .
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated .
  • 2 green onions, cut in 1 inch pieces .
  • 6 eggs, hard boiled, shelled .
  • 1/2 c soy sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine all ingredients except the eggs in a saucepan.
  • Step #2 Heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Step #3 Add eggs & let simmer one hr, turning the eggs every once in awhile so they become evenly brown.
  • Step #4 Let sit off the heat in the liquid for 30 mins.
  • Step #5 Slice & serve or put in the fridge for later use.
