Corn Dogs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16 wooden skewers
  • 1 c yellow cornmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tsps baking powder
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 c milk
  • 2 (16 oz) packages beef frankfurters
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c white sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium bowl, pepper, salt, flour, mix cornmeal, sugar & baking powder.
  • Step #2 Stir in eggs & milk.
  • Step #3 Preheat oil in a deep saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #4 Insert wooden skewers into frankfurters.
  • Step #5 Roll frankfurters in batter until well coated.
  • Step #6 Fry 2 or 3 corn dogs at a time for 8 to 10 mins, or until lightly browned.
  • Step #7 Drain on paper towels.
  • Step #8 .
