Corned Beef Hash Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme, 3 tbsps .
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp fresh oregano, sliced .
  • 5 c cooked corned beef .
  • 3 tbsps butter, unsalted .
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • with cabbage, leftover & well drained (NO LIQUID!!!!) .
  • 1 c red bell peppers, finely sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt the butter in a 12-inch cast iron skillet set over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Add the bell pepper & cook this until it begins to brown slightly, approximately 5 to 6 mins.
  • Step #3 Add the garlic, thyme, corned beef & cabbage, oregano & black pepper to the skillet & stir this to mix.
  • Step #4 Once mixd, spread the hash evenly over the pan & firmly press down with a spatula.
  • Step #5 Place a heavy lid, heatproof plate or second pan directly atop the hash & allow to cook this until browned, approximately 10 mins.
  • Step #6 After 10 mins stir mixture, press down again, top this with the lid & allow to cook another 5 to 6 mins, or until browned.
  • Step #7 Serve as soon as possible.
