Chocolate Raspberry Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (12 oz) package vanilla chips (or white chocolate chips) .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • For the Topping .
  • 2 tbsps whole milk .
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened .
  • 1 (18 1/4 oz) package devil's food cake mix .
  • 2 tbsps unsalted butter .
  • 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 1 (12 oz) jar seedless raspberry jam

Directions
  • Step #1 Prehead oven to 350 degrees F, & grease a 15"x10" glass baking dish.
  • Step #2 In large bowl, egg & butter until crumbly, mix cake mix, then press crumb mixture into bottom of baking dish.
  • Step #3 Bake 8-10 mins or until crust appears puffy & dry, then cool on wire rack.
  • Step #4 When crust is cool, spread jam over crust.
  • Step #5 In microwave or heavy saucepan, melt vanilla chips, then stir until smooth.
  • Step #6 In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese & milk until smooth.
  • Step #7 Add melted vanilla chips & mix well.
  • Step #8 CAREFULLY spread cream cheese mixture over jam.
  • Step #9 Melt chocolate chips & butter, then stir until smooth.
  • Step #10 Drizzle or pipe over cream cheese layer.
  • Step #11 Refrigerate before cutting into SMALL pieces.
