Spelt Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 2/3 c warm water .
  • 9 c spelt flour .
  • 1 tbsp salt .
  • 3/4 c warm water .
  • 1/4 c honey .
  • 9 tbsps oil .
  • 2 tbsps yeast

Directions
  • Step #1 In a c, mix 3/4 c of warm water, 1/4 c of honey & 2 tbsp of yeast.
  • Step #2 Set aside.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, mix 2 2/3 c of warm water, salt & oil.
  • Step #4 Add half flour & yeast mixture.
  • Step #5 Stir well.
  • Step #6 Add remaining flour & knead for about 8 to 10 mins.
  • Step #7 Preheat oven to 200 degrees & then turn off.
  • Step #8 Grease an ovenproof bowl & place dough in it.
  • Step #9 Let rise in oven.
  • Step #10 Punch dough down.
  • Step #11 Divide into three, place this into three greased loaf pans, poke holes in loaves & let rise again.
  • Step #12 Bake 425F degrees for 20-25 mins.
