Easy Flan Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1 1/2 c sugar .
  • 6 large eggs .
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk .
  • 2 (13 oz) cans evaporated milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
  • Step #2 Pour 1 c sugar in warm pan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Constantly stir sugar until it browns & becomes caramel.
  • Step #4 Quickly pour approximately 2-3 tbsps of caramel into each ramekin, tilting it to swirl the caramel around the sides.
  • Step #5 Reheat caramel if it starts to harden.
  • Step #6 In a mixer or with a whisk, mix the eggs together.
  • Step #7 Mix in the milks then slowly mix in the 1/2 c sugar, then the vanilla.
  • Step #8 Blend smooth after each ingredient is added.
  • Step #9 Pour custard into carmel lined ramekins.
  • Step #10 Place ramekins In a large-ish glass or ceramic baking dish & fill with about 1-2 inches of hot water.
  • Step #11 Bake for 45 mins, check with a knife just to the side of the center.
  • Step #12 If knife comes out clean, its ready.
  • Step #13 Remove & let cool.
  • Step #14 Let each ramekin cool in the refrigerator for 1 hr.
  • Step #15 Invert each ramekin onto a small plate, the caramel sauce will flow over the custard.
  • Step #16 Serve & enjoy.
