Popovers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 c milk (I usually use soy milk) .
  • 1 tbsp melted butter .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Beat the eggs in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Step #2 Whisk in the milk, flour, butter & salt.
  • Step #3 Pour into a popover pan, although the popovers won't rise as high), or a lightly greased muffin tin (which will work fine, filling halfway.
  • Step #4 Put into a COLD oven, & set it to 450 degrees.
  • Step #5 Bake at 450 degrees for 15 mins, then turn the heat down to 350 degrees & bake for another 15 mins.
  • Step #6 If you have opened the oven at any point, bake for 16 or 17 mins.
  • Step #7 The popovers should be golden on top.
  • Step #8 Take them out & prick the tops with a knife to release excess steam.
  • Step #9 Slice open & eat with butter and/or jam.
